Author: Dr. Iglika Parvanova May 15, 2024

The pressures of modern life pose increasingly serious challenges to the mental health of Bulgarian citizens. This material, presented on behalf of Papamind (Bulgaria), examines the main factors of stress, work pressure, and digital burnout, presenting and analyzing expert opinions from leading psychologists in the country.

According to recent studies, the stress level in Bulgaria is among the highest in the European Union. The main reasons are related to economic insecurity, high workload, and the rapid pace of digitalization, which often leads to "digital burnout".

In an interview for our blog, psychologist Aben Dzezhov shares: "The key to stress management is not its complete elimination, but the development of resilient coping mechanisms. It is important to learn to recognize the early signs of overload."

Experts emphasize the importance of work-life balance, as well as conscious relaxation practices. The material presents various coping strategies based on proven approaches, without giving medical advice or unsupported claims.

The analysis shows that raising awareness about mental health and reducing the stigma around the topic are critical steps for improving societal well-being.
